Voilą Catering

Voilą Catering was co-founded by Tamara Kay and Jonathan Goodrow in 2001 to bring quality gourmet food to the Greater Portland region. Executive Chef Tamara Kay has a wide range of experience including innovative bistro cooking in Ashland, French Boulangerie baking, Fortune 500 corporate food service management, and training at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley California. Business manager Jonathan Goodrow brings advanced business education, years of business management, and a true passion for gourmet food from around the world to the company.

2006

Voilą Catering Growth

 

  • In response to increased rental prices in the industry, Voilą Catering adds high quality and more affordable event rentals including china, flatware and glassware.
  • Successful Cafe and Catering operations allows Voilą Catering to provide health and dental insurance coverage for our full time employees, a significant accomplishment in the industry.

2004

Voilą Catering Opens Cafe Voilą

 

Voilą Catering is approached by their client, The City Club of Portland, to open a retail food outlet in the entrance to the City Club's new offices . The small 600 sq. ft. Cafe Voilą is quickly recognized by the local food critics for its innovative and affordable lunch food. Cafe Voilą steadily builds a loyal cliental of gourmet food lovers by word of mouth.

2003

Voilą Catering Complete Major Kitchen Remodel

 

Voilą Catering under takes a major re-modeling of the commercial kitchen, including expansion of fire prevention and ventilation capacity and improved dishwashing equipment.

2002

Voilą Catering Opens Own Kitchen

 

After sharing commercial kitchens with several other catering companies, Voilą Catering moves into its' own commercial kitchen.

2001

Voilą Catering Founded

 

After a incredible culinary experience in France, Chef Tamara Kay and Jonathan Goodrow started Voilą Catering to bring affordable and delicious catering food to the greater Portland Area. Leaving the high-tech industry, Jonathan brought his passion for international gourmet food and his business expertise to the company.  Chef Tamara left the corporate food service world to focus on fresh, seasonal, real, and gourmet foods.

The passion for wonderful food inspired the founding of Voilą Catering.
