We start by having Exec. Chef Tamara develop a fresh, seasonal menu which will thrill the guests and meet all of their special dietary needs. For Richard’s 50th Birthday Party Dinner, we wanted to impress his guests with the rich and tender Cascade Natural Hanger Steak with Cocoa Crust and Cocoa Demi Glace! Then we discuss event timing and how our catering staff will be scheduled to meet the guests needs at the birthday dinner. We conduct a site visit to inspect the kitchen equipment to make sure it can handle the quantity of food we will cook or determine if we need to our own commercial equipment. Logistics and layout are a critical factors at every catering event for the comfort of your guests and we review location of bars, social areas, dining table, and dance floors including CAD layout to make sure everything at the dinner party will work as planned.
As guests arrive and socialize before the birthday dinner, our catering Chef team carefully builds individual hors d’oevures while our uniformed service staff gracefully passes the appetizers. With the delectable bites coming to the guests, they are free to mingle with their friends without having to fight their way to a potentially crowded buffet.
For this small party, the client provided the beverages with Voila Catering supplied appropriate German Crystal Wine Glasses and Flutes for the toast leaving the host with NO DISHES to wash!
For this wintertime event, chef Tamara makes a red and green grape relish with fresh thyme to pair with a creamy brie cheese on a crisp toast….perfect for vegetarians and everyone that loves great food.
As one server is passing hors d’oeuvres to the guests during the social hour, our other server is lighting candles and getting the dining room ready for dinner.
Exec. Chef Tamara builds individual starters with roasted golden beets, crisp apple and pears in a fresh thyme vinaigrette served with our own candied Oregon hazelnuts, and creamy blue cheese crumbles topped with fresh peppery arugula for this birthday dinner catering.
Final preparation of the roasted fingerling potatoes is to toss them with fresh herbs and herb butter before serving….definatly not your typical catering food!
Sauteed Petite Green Beans and oven roasted heirloom purple, orange, and yellow Carrots are the perfect side dish for the family style catered birthday dinner.
